We've had a bit of a problem lately in the clarke house. The washing machine had developed a short which was tripping out the power.

This was traced back to a wire that had been rubbing against the drum (thanks for finding that ty, but you should have switched it off first... ouch!). The unfortunate thing is that with the power constantly tripping, my sky+ box has finally bit the dust.

Enter the ME1! now we have pausing and recording of live tv again.

Now I have to find the justification and the money (£65) to pay Sky to replace the broken box.

Wow, things have been hectic here for a while.
Don't worry I'm still posting (or at least thinking of doing it and it's the thought that counts right?).

I've been looking at a couple of broken DVD players (portable ones) that I got of eBay for a few quid. I've been able to cannibalise them to create a fully working one with a bunch of spare parts.

So rather than waste the spares... I'm going to try and build one of these.
